About

Opening classrooms across Afghanistan

Qatra is a donor-funded initiative expanding safe, quality education for children in Afghanistan. We partner with local educators to reopen classrooms, provide learning materials, and train teachers. Every contribution goes directly toward removing financial, cultural, and logistical barriers so Afghan children, especially girls, can learn, thrive, and shape their own futures.

A high-detail 3D-model of a small village school building inspired by Afghan rural architecture, with textured earthen walls, a pale blue painted wooden door, and a simple corrugated metal roof. The school sits on a sandy courtyard where carefully modeled stone steps lead to the entrance. Around the building are planted saplings, a flagpole without a flag, and a low boundary wall, all rendered with clean geometric precision. Warm late-afternoon sunlight casts long, soft-edged shadows, highlighting the subtle imperfections in the walls. The atmosphere is quietly optimistic and professional. Shot from a slightly elevated, wide-angle perspective with balanced composition, the image feels like a polished architectural visualization that symbolizes education access in underserved regions.

We fund school kits—backpacks, textbooks, and supplies—so Afghan children can attend class prepared and with dignity.

A stylized 3D-model of an open textbook in Dari and English placed at the center of a minimalist, matte-white table. The pages display crisp diagrams of basic science concepts and simple geometric shapes, all rendered with sharp vector-like clarity. Surrounding the book are a solar-powered lantern, a basic tablet device showing an educational interface, and a pair of over-ear headphones, each modeled with smooth, modern surfaces in muted blues and grays. Cool, even studio lighting creates soft reflections and almost no harsh shadows, giving the scene a clean, professional nonprofit tech feel. Captured from a top-down, bird’s-eye composition with symmetrical balance, emphasizing digital and traditional learning tools working together for Afghan education.

Through community-led classes, we support flexible learning spaces for displaced children who cannot reach formal schools.
